iBook G4 Repair with a Blowtorch

Back

The graphics chip on an old iBook G4 had had the pins underneath it broken due to the bending of the board over time. Using a compression and heat method we were able to reconnect the pins with the use of flux. Although the editing leaves room for a different iBook to be put in its place this is in fact the same iBook all the way through the video. This is the first and only time we have tried this, so we don't knwo for sure whether this is full solution, or a lucky first attempt. And with that said, we won't be taking responsibility if you try it and the results are less than lovely ;) As you can see at the start of the video the screen is a complete mess, and by the end it looks fine again.
