Moonspell (Portugal) "Scorpion Flower" feat. Anneke van Giersbergen First Single From the New Album "Night Eternal" Release Date 19th of May 2008 Scorpion Flower Lyric ======================================== Curse the day, hail the night Flower grown in the wild In your empty heart In the breast that feeds Flower worn in the dark Can I steal your mind for a while? Can I stop your heart for a while? Can I freeze your soul and your time? Scorpion flower Token of death Ignite the skies with your eyes And keep me away from your light Surrender tears to your mortal act Flower cursed be thy fruit Of your courage last Of your grand finale Flower crushed in the ground In your empty heart In the breast that feeds Flower worn in the dark Can I steal your mind for a while? Can I stop your heart for a while? Can I freeze your soul and your time? Scorpion flower Token of death Ignite the skies with your eyes In your empty heart In the breast that feeds Flower worn in the dark Can I steal your mind for a while? Can I stop your heart for a while? Can I freeze your soul and your time? Scorpion flower Token of death Ignite the skies with your eyes ======================================== Formed in 1988 at Lisbon, the "Irreligious" band Moonspell is composed by those 5 members : Actual Line-Up : Fernando Ribeiro (Vocals) Luis "Malah" Lamelas (Lead Guitar) Pedro Paixao (Keyboards) Ricardo Amorim (Rythm Guitar) Aires Pereira (Bass Guitar) Mike Gaspar (Drums) Formerly named "Morbid God", Moonspell has started in 1989. They started as a Anti-God, really dark band. They never were a joke, and listening to some really dark songs like "Opium", "Finisterra" or "Full Moon Madness" proves it ! They released their fist demo in 1994, "under the Moonspell", which contains 3 songs darker one than another... One year later follows their first album : "Wolfheart". Listening to "Alma Mater", "Vampiria" or "Of Dream and Drama" proves they're dark. Really. Next year (1996)follows "Irreligious", where their "Anti-god" side is put on mainstage. "Opium", "Full Moon Madness" and "Mephisto" mythic Monnspell songs came from this album. In 1998 they release "Sin Pecado", and some of their best songs like "2econd Skin", "Magdalene" or "E666U666R666O666T666I666C666A" Then will follow The Butterfly Effect (1999), "Darkness & Hope" (2001), "The Antidote" (2003) , "Memorial" (2006) , and "The Great Silver Eye" , which is a best-of.
