Maybe for that reason vegetarianism isn't any better, but it's certainly ecologically friendlier. The meat industry consumes a lot of water by raising high investment livestock and contributes the majority of nitrogen pollution to the environment. Vegetables are much more efficient and clean to grow.

Those aseptic soaps and cleaners pretending to kill "99% of all viruses" are basically creating a false feeling of safety, when they are really harming one's immune system.

Not really. Vegtables are also exposed to antibiotics through crop fertilization.

The point that fundogmo is a good point, but when you think about how many deaths are caused by anti-biotic resistant pathogens is only going up. Anti-biotics are pumped into ALL the animals, not just the animals that are sick, which is only causing drug resistant strains. Down the line there will be many more deaths caused by super bugs than deaths of people that didn't cook their food right.

fundogmo has just made an absolutely excellent point. but its more than just what fundogmo pointed out. not using antibiotics on meat (i.e. organic) does not neccesarily mean "safer" or "healthier" there are alot of food born diseases that are killed by the anti-biotics, so how many illness are caused by bacterial immunity resulting from anti-biotic use vs food born illness resulting from not using anti-biotics, again its not so black and white

So... the beginning bit with the chicken is advocacy of free-range livestock farming as a viable solution against microantibacterial resistance? How do you weigh the impact of that against more efficient (yet admitted less healthy) worldwide demands of food, and the economics involved in more expensive farming? While it may not matter to a middle-class US family if they pay more per pound for chicken, what about developing nations? The issue doesn't seem so black and white and easily solvable.

Um, the worker at 3 min, is he not even wearing gloves?Yep you can't really wash your hands enough. For example this keyboard I'm using is probably more bacteria than a toilet seat :P

He is so right. Our world is so asepticized today and I hate that. Not only does it promote bacterial resistance to antibiotics like they say on the show but also, if we never ever get sick, how are we supposed to build our immune system? Granted, cleanliness is extremely important in preventing getting diseases, but like it is said in the video, there is a huge difference between washing your hands with regular soap and constantly using those liquid antibacterial hand sanitizers.

You're better off being vegetarian and even better off being vegan. Screw your Frankenstein chicken.
