Yes. I was told I wouldn't walk again. Now I'm Inline Skating and Long Boarding again! However I still can't type with my right hand or write well with it, so I've been forced to become left hande, which feels awkward! 8 months at the hospital, and 8 years to get to this point!

All I can say as a survivor is...take with a HUGE grain of salt what the doctors predict. Only YOU know what you're capable of..not them !! (If it was up to them, I'd still be in a wheelchair..for the rest of my life !) NOT!

Well, I certainly hope science keeps progressing at this pace, even faster. As a younger person myself, I never really think about things like strokes and other ailments that generally come with older age. Who know what we all have in store for us in the future, I support science 100% and consider it a leading nesessity that we should all make as our foundation of life, instead of relying on false hopes with religion. sin

I know just how stroke`s can affect people, my work mate had one about 7 years ago, been from a very healthy man one day and then been in a wheel chair for the rest of his life the next was very hard to take in, he lost his speech but got it back sometime later, Thanks Jase
