no... he slid meaning he cudnt stop then he moved his MOVING footand kept his pivot foot in place until he layed it in and still the pivot foot was in the air

actually, you are allowed to lift your pivot foot as long as long as you shoot or pass before it comes back down, that is the usual ruling in say high school. However, in the nba they say you have a 1-2 count with your steps after you pick up the ball they dont definitively define travelling more than that according to the nba director of officials Ronnie Nunn
